Our friend Zippy had a cowboy themed wedding celebration (in our backyard). Jordan and Madi
challenged me to a costume competition.


1. Refs:
Found some refs on pinterest and at the local cowboy store.
2. CLO3D modelling
I modelled it up in CLO3D. I started with a generic wide leg pant pattern then made the cutouts accordingly, and played around until it looked good. I designed it to use a belt to hold the different panels together.
I exported my 2D patterns to dxf

3. Tracing using the new plotter i built
I built my giant plotter exactly for things like this! I traced out the pattern using the plotter using a sharpie on some faux vinyl leather.



4. Adding some decoration
Instead of stamping the leather , I used a sharpie to trace out some decoration. I drew out “BALWIT-CHEUNG” and plotted it onto extra belt pieces.



Some quick sewing, some bushings as hardware for the ties, and bam
